it’s been a busy week and i feel like i’ve slacked up a bit on my posts.
i wanted to share some weekend photos with you and then decided i needed to share my juice recipe from this morning.
today is operation #KICKcandida round 2: day 1. i did a candida sugar detox a few months ago and the pesky yeast came back! i’m a little annoyed and not overly excited about cutting fruit and lara bars out of my diet again. but, i did it once, over thanksgiving even, so i am positive i can do it again.
i’ll be doing a few new things this time that will hopefully help kick the candida for good. more to come on that this week.
you can, however, expect some new recipes and workouts.
until then, enjoy the photos and try the juice. it was the perfect pre-pancake drink.
carrot, kale, and spinach morning juice.
i usually make juice by whatever vegetables are in my refrigerator. i had part of an apple and orange leftover that i wanted to add to the juice for a bit of sweetness. normally, on my sugar detox, i’d have only vegetables and get some sweetness from the carrots or perhaps a beet. feel free to increase the apple or orange if you like it a bit sweeter.
3 organic carrots
2 stalks organic celery
1 giant handful of spinach (about 1 1/2 cups)
2 cups dinosaur kale
1/2 small organic apple
1/3 peeled orange
1. add all ingredients to juicer, juice, and serve over ice.
