halfway through july?! say what?!?
how was your weekend?
mine was pretty great. let’s start on thrusday afternoon with a bit of a life update.

thursday afternoon a site that our team has been working on for four years finally launched. i came on as project manager in february, and it was my goal to get the site to launch. yes, we still have more work to do, but we were allllll hollering/typing in capital letters (in our company chat room) when the site went live.


friday was the first workout i made for bootcamp. it was a core and cardio circuit. i was hoping it would go over well, and people in my morning classes had their ugly faces on. plus, my boss called me after to let me know that it was a good and tough workout. my goal is to have participants say they hate me after a workout. when i go to fitness classes, if i can walk out of a class having said i hate the instructor at least once, i know it was a good workout. the rest of the afternoon was pretty chill, but i did treat myself to some starbucks, new workout clothes, and evening treats.

i found this workout after reading rebecca’s post on friday. so, saturday, the workout bud and i decided to tackle the workout. ashley horner – girl does not play around. i figured the workout would be tough, but it was no joke. we were drenched in sweat. i loved it. after, i dragged the bud with me to a festival that my work organized and we chatted fitness and watched a movie.


sunday. fun day…the manner of women came upon me. i’ve mentioned before that i haven’t had a period in a few months. my trip to the lady doctor last monday was not so good, so i’m going to my dietician to chat about it. more on that this week. but, i won’t say i’m glad it came, but i am happy that it came. excuse to eat all the ice cream and angie’s popcorn i want?!!? HECK YES!

i did major food prep as well on sunday: salmon salad, regular salad, beet|apple|carrot salad, zucchini muffins, banana bread, almond butter, sweet potato soup, roasted sweet potatoes, sausage and bean soup (recipe to come), and brown rice. plus, a delicious smoothie for lunch which i’ll be sharing with is week.

i ended the day with some fennel tea and banana bread before heading to zac brown band with my mom and seester! i just love my weekends. i was so glad to be with my thugs last weekend, but after a busy week of work, blogging, bootcamping and more, i crave the flexibility and relaxation a weekend brings. and the waffles and pancakes, of course.
