Hi!
Can you believe the weekend is over?! It’s Sunday night and all afternoon I kept thinking – I can’t believe the weekend is over already! Time flies.
How was your weekend? Hopefully nice and relaxing. Mine was a combination of good and not so good.
Last week was one of the most stressful weeks I have had in months and months. It must have been the combination of my period and having so many things to get done at work. The week kicked my butt. Which is why I missed my Fit Friday post and didn’t catch up on any blogs until Saturday night! I hoped to write a post on how to manage stress on Saturday, but it did not happen.
I ended up finishing work early on Friday (3:15p) since I worked later certain days (10.3hrs on Wednesday!). The Workout Bud and I had date night which included Qdoba, a Target trip to get him a few apartment things, a pint of mint chocolate chip SoDelicious for me, a movie (The Heat), and a good hour or so of Pinteresting.

Saturday I slept in til about 9am, something that hardly ever happens. After a short walk and trip to Hobby Lobby to get some yarn for a blanket, I started to feel terrible. It must have been my week of stress + week of not so healthy eating (lots of brownies!). I spent Saturday watching a few Christmas movies, starting a new blanket (knitting is just like riding a bike. After not doing it for over a year, I picked it right back up), took a NAP (something I never do), made a quick Target trip and finished my night by falling asleep early, after reading some blogs.
Any Parenthood fans out there? How is this show SO GOOD all the time?!

Thankfully, I woke up Sunday feeling so refreshed and much better. After church, I got some cooking done, including making a jar of roasted almond butter with cinnamon and honey. I went on a short walk and did a couple other random things before ending the night with a couple slices of sourdough bread, which was on sale at Earthfare – I could not pass it up.
So, here is to another Monday. I am CONFIDENT it will be a much better week than last.

Love that quote! Ahem? Yes? So true.
I had some many more fashion/food/home loves to share with you. You can thank my late night Pinterest-ing. Feel free to check out more here.
I don’t have anything huge planned this week. I teach a couple days and I am planning on look for a few more teaching opportunities. The Workout Bud and I are joining the gym again after a few months off. We just love doing our own workouts and lifting heavy things too much to not have a gym membership.
And, since it’s been a while since I’ve said it…
Make your Monday LEGEND…wait for it…DARY.
LEGENDARY.
What was your favorite part of the weekend? How are you going to make your Monday legendary?

Of course, Sarah!
My favs from the weekend visiting my parents in FL and rocking a race! My Monday will be legendary because I’m going home to my kiddos and the husband. Miss em’ when they’re not around.
So glad you had a great race AND got to visit your parents, Jill! 🙂
Holy smokes, that last line had me bent over laughing in the best way! So funny. Sorry you had such a killer week, but glad you were smart recoup on Saturday. I know what you mean about sleeping in. There are those rare times I do, and I assume my body just needs it! Thanks for linking up. And, can’t wait to read the other linkers. PS He sounds like an amazing workout buddy! YAY! Ok…weird question. How much do you talk when you workout with other people?
Hah, thanks Jessica! It’s been another doozy of a week, but I’m taking the afternoon off to relax! I always love your posts, so I am happy to link up! How much do I talk when I workout with other people – depends on the workout. If I join a bootcamper and workout, then I usually try to make a little conversation and call out how much time is left per exercise. When the Workout Bud and I workout – it depends on how tough I make the workout and how made he is at me for making it so tough 😉 And sometimes I just get in the zone too much to talk!
oh yeah, almond butter recipe?! I tried to make my own sunflower seed butter once, and busted my food processor. Sad story. I need homemade nut butter tips!
Hah, that’s no good. For the recipe – like 2-3 cups of almonds (I roasted mine this time, but I usually do raw), processed until smooth and then added like 1 TBSP of cinnamon and a few drizzles of honey! I tried sunflower seed butter one time and it didn’t come out that great either – not like the kind you can buy at the store or Trader Joe’s. :/
Glad my treats made your list 🙂
I’m a HUGE Parenthood fan. I just sit there and bawl almost every episode. SO so good!
Of course! They look so tasty! I wish Parenthood would stick around; I hate that this is the final season!
Love that quote! So important to dream big! And parenthood is totally awesome. Thanks for the link love hope you have a much more zen week!
Thanks, Amber! Just love that show! 🙂
I hope this is a much calmer week for you! Hopefully your rest day on Saturday helped rejuvenate you so that you can take whatever comes your way!!!
Thanks, Kim. Another crazy week, but Saturday was great, and I’m taking the afternoon off to relax today!
Thank you so much for sharing! I love the label 😀 You know I ain’t got time for hate or shame. I’ve recently gotten on the Parenthood train–love it so far. I’ve been a huge Peter Krause fan for forever, so I’m loving it. I definitely need a relaxing day. I wore myself out this weekend.
But I did sit in a bin, so there is that.
Of course, Susie! I love him too – so many good people in one show 🙂
And I had no idea he was dating Lorelei…or Lauren Graham!!! 🙂
Oh my gosh, I MUST try making that almond butter. Is it pretty simple? Just blending the almonds, cinnamon, and honey? I clearly have never made it myself. 😉 Thanks for the link love!
You got it, Bri. It’s that simple and so tasty! You’ll love it!
