How was your weekend? I’ve been off all week, so all my days are running together, so I had to think about it a bit. Friday I had lunch with my mom and her friend, after a good workout at the gym, to talk wedding details. So many things to do, but I am so excited!! I spent the afternoon with my mom checking out wedding invitation/décor stuff, after BOOKING THE VENUE! After looking with my mom, I know it will be a great venue. Not the barn I was hoping for, but a very close second. The Bud and I went to a gamer/Christmas party that night. It was filled with lots of alcohol, yelling and laughter. I can only image what our wedding will be like.
Saturday, I did a little planning and cleaning before heading to a party that my Aunt threw. It was just my Black side of the family. So many people I haven’t seen in so many years. It was wonderful to catch up. And the food…especially the sweet potatoes. Oh. My. Word. Amazing. I don’t care what people say, Black cooking is so much better. Even better than White people trying to cook soul food. I missed it so much!
The Bud and I decided to just sleep in on Sunday, which means I did a bit more planning and blogging. Then we hung out all afternoon and eve with our Besties from Cali. The couple who’s wedding we met at. We all went out for sushi and beer and burgers, and ended the night with chips, salsa, and Cards Against Humanity. And guess who was the winner?! Yes, this girl.
Best part of the night: at dinner we talked about when we are all going to have kids. The Bud is pretty anti-kid, although, I think he just puts on a facade and really wants a couple kids. I know I will want them eventually, but it’s going to take ALOT for me to be okay with a human coming out of my body. Kyle and Kara want kids, but not right away either. So, we decided to set a date in a few years to talk about when we want to start trying for a kid. Kyle sent out the GoogleCal invite, so it’s official now…\

I just got back from a sweat sesh at the gym and I need to scoot. T-minus 1hr until I need to pick up my entourage to go WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING! My mom and sister and Omi are all going with me. We are making a day of it! Can’t wait. I’ll try and figure out a way to let you see the dress without letting the boy see it.
Don’t forget to…
make your Monday…Legendary.
Tell me the best part of your weekend! What are you looking forward to this week?!
