HAPPY WHAT I ATE WEDNESDAY!

It’s been a minute since I’ve shared some pictures of food with you all. Plus, I have random life updates to share – including the big news I mentioned last week. I even gave a little reveal on Instagram Friday.

First up, I. LOVE. TEACHING. Like, wish I could do it more. I knew I liked it when I was teaching bootcamp last year, but I love it even more now. I get free reign to create the workouts and my bootcampers are great. My classes are between 10-15 people because I took over for another instructor that was not so bueno. My classes seem to grow each week, I’m seeing the some of the same faces, and I get stopped at the gym by people that took the classes and liked it. Hazzah!

I ventured into BodyWorks plus Abs last Friday and it was not the greatest. The Workout Bud said it was challenging, but also gave me some tips for next class.
I don’t know where I got the idea to sign up for 2 back to back 1 hour classes on Monday. But I did.
I taught the first one and it was great – but killer. I had about an hour to kill before my second class, so I visited my mom. The second class I subbed for was at my home gym. It was packed with 35 people. I drank my protein shake and did the workout again! Talk about sore muscles! Definitely will not be teaching back to back classes again…unless I make an easier workout!

Tuesday I got a call asking if I’d be willing to sub for a yoga class, just before bootcamp. Now, I’ve never taught yoga, hardly been to any in-person yoga classes, but I wanted to try my hand at it, so I agreed. I watched a Yoga with Adrienne video while I prepped and did a bit of yoga on my own. Overall, the class was okay. I had about 30 minutes left when my big sequences were done, so I just stretched out the ending stretches and made it a solid 45 minute class.
Note to self: next time, try to get more than 2 hours of prep time to teach a class you’ve never taught before!

So, my stomach has been off for days – since Monday. I initially thought it was all the gluten/dairy that I ate this weekend catching up with me. But since it’s continued for days, I’m not sure if it’s that or stress, or a combination of the two. Either way, not very good sleeps and not a very happy tummy the past few days. I’m trying to only eat homemade whole foods and drink lots of tea!

Speaking of whole foods, don’t all these meals look so tasty! I mentioned a week or so ago that my mom is doing a 30 Healthy Living Detox with Arbonne. She has made it to week 2 and is doing swimmingly! She is all about the healthy eating and she is looking slimmer. She is rocking it out. Again, love this detox because it helps you establish healthy eating patterns that will carry on after the detox is complete. If you want more details, hit me up!

And while we are on the subject of nutrition….the big news is…
I am getting my nutrition certification through Precision!!!!!! I start studying on Monday!!!
Guys, this is something I’ve been wanting to do for years. The sign up for the March cycle was last week and I went for it. I’ll be sharing details throughout the process. I am so excited to eventually be able to combine fitness and nutrition. Keep you eyes peeled for some consulting and fitness/nutrition packages for sale on the blog!

Can you tell I’m on a Sriracha kick? Gosh, I love that stuff. Putting it on everything these days!
I’m off to do a little apartment cleaning, before some work. The Workout Bud is leaving for Boston tomorrow morning for a bachelor party weekend, which means I have to check to make sure the clothes he packed are good and tag along as he picks up some new t-shirts since ‘all the good ones are dirty.’ Boys…
Linking up with Jenn over at Peas and Crayons for WIAW!
Life update – tell me some things. Do you like sriracha?

Yay for nutrition!! I can’t wait to hear all about it, it has been something i’ve been going back and forth on. So maybe you can help me just go for it!
I love anything spicy… Sriracha, yes please!
I’ll share all the details I can, Taylor!
I’ve been looking for a good nutrition certification program so I’m interested to hear what you think of precision!
I’ll be doing some updates on the blog for sure, Giselle!
Ummmmm yeah!!!! Sriracha is the best!! However… Do you think maybe it’s what’s been making your tums not feel too great? I have to go easy on it myself for that reason.
Um, you are probably so right, Juliana! Hah! Didn’t even think about that 🙂
Jen make me food!! Everything looks so good, especially the eggs/avocado/greens/sriracha. That’s the best combo ever – and I just love that plate too!!
Ah, Sam, I say the same thing when I see your recipes every week! We need to meet up and do some cooking!
