How are you doing? Anyone else have a sunny, spring-y weekend like we did the in midwest?

It was a WEDDING EXTRAVAGANZA WEEKEND!! Yes, imagine me yelling that in a super excited voice! Guys, I’m getting married in 76 days, according to my Target Registry. Since The Workout Bud was gone all weekend in Boston, at his bachelor party, I knew it was the perfect weekend to buckle down and get some sh*tuff done.

Friday, I did a couple random things in the morning, had an interview at a local gym and then met my mom for the start to the weekend. We ran errands to get her some groceries for her detox, took some measurements since she is halfway through her detox and made waffles. She’s already lost 2 inches in her bicep and thighs, 1.5 inches in her hips, and 1 inch in her wait and chest. Yes, read that again. Just in 2 weeks! She isn’t trying to lose weight, just get healthy. She was shocked and I had to measure her thighs three times to confirm, that yes, she did in fact loose that many inches.

We made her Brittany Angell’s waffles, the one’s I mentioned in Friday’s post. She almost cried she loved them so much. She topped them with some homemade chia jam (strawberries + chia seeds + sprinkle of stevia). I’ve been eating ‘clean’ for so long now, that it’s second nature. That if I need something to satisfy a sweet tooth or want something free of grains or dairy, I either make it or find a recipe for it. I assumed the same with my mom. But she was feeling a little bit down about her detox, until I sent some new recipes and made the waffles. She had a renewed sense of hope!.

IMG_1311.JPGOkay, back to wedding. We chatted wedding stuff on Friday night and made a plan for Saturday. We left late, of course, warrior faces on, and headed to the mall. No luck on the shoe front at DSW and actually most of the places we went at the mall. We found glitter and scrapbook paper at Hobby Lobby, hit up HomeGoods, got all those vases for $1 at the Dollar Store (holla), and found a few buckets and more at Target. I glittered all the vases, we almost narrowed down a honeymoon spot, Mom finalized the invites, I decided on Bridesmaid gifts, we pretty much narrowed down a timeline, confirmed our ceremony spot outside by the park, and finalized our table settings. Plus, I made her the Lamb + Sausage Butternut Chili, which was a hit!

wedding-vases-mondaySunday was pretty low key: church, walk, planning for the week, blog posts, prepping for PRECISION NUTRITION CERTIFICATE studying. I start studying today!!
