How are you doing today? How was your weekend? Did it go by too fast for you too? Friday was wedding stuff most of the day. I got up early to get my hair trimmed, picked up my dress and then ran some errands with my mom – Target + JC Penny for lipstick. We assembled a few things and chatted over the wedding timeline. Then we did a trial run of my make-up. And I put on my dress. And jewelry. And shoes.
Saturday, I spent a majority of the day studying. In the past 3 weeks or so, I’ve gotten 2 chapters behind in Precision. And with everything going on, I haven’t really ‘studied’. It’s hard sometimes with a self-paced certification, especially when there is no big exam at the end. So, I made some flashcards, made a plan to make some diagrams and got all my past due quizzes and questions answered. I also cleaned house.
Sunday, we went to church early, stopped to get some groceries and things for the wedding. I caught up on a few blogs, studied a bit and answered some emails. PLUS, I made my mock-ups for the chalkboard signs for the reception. I haven’t done any artsy stuff in so long, and it was such a good stress relief.Something you probably don’t know about me: I used to be such an art geek? I did ceramics all through high school and won awards. I used to want to be an art therapist. I even sold handmade paper bead jewelry (took me a hot minute to find that site!). I’ve missed being creative!
Last Monday as a single lady! And it’s full of wedding things! Which I am sure will be like the rest of the week. I found subs for my classes too, so I can try and relax!
