Guys, I’m leaving for #BlogFest on Wednesday and I cannot WAIT! How was your weekend? Anything exciting or fun go down?
Friday, I spent the morning at my favorite coffee shop, doing a little blog work and finally getting my wedding thank you notes written. Then my mom met me and we went over some stuff for her Etsy shop – which she finally launched! So proud of her and so pumped to see it grow. I’ll be sporting some new shirts from her shop at BlogFest! We went next door for brunch before I headed back home to finish some thank you notes. The Workout Bud had to go do some stuff with a property closer to downtown, so I tagged along to return our bike rack, stop for some BlogFest snacks and run into lululemon…where I bought of pair of leggings, that were on sale…that will be great for BlogFest because they have pockets! Like how I justify that purchase?
We ran into Target to get a few snacks for the trip and I found this bag of Angie’s. Oh, my word – so freaking good. It will be gone before I leave for the conference, but oh well. On the way home, we had to go to Qdoba, because…Qdoba. And I didn’t want to cook. And then went for a bike ride, where I had a topple, of sorts – not really a fall, that would have been America’s Funniest Home Video worthy. I came out with a bruised quad and a bruised ego.
Saturday I taught BodyWorks, which was all about the upper back – lower weight, higher reps. Right after, I met my mom and sister for breakfast and antiquing!
Now, just before I got to my class, The Bud called me from the local coffee shop to ask where a picture was in our wedding album on Facebook. I told him where to find it, but he said he didn’t see the albums at all. I checked it out – turns out I had all 3 albums set to private! Hah. He got a big kick out of it and told everyone in the coffee shop…a couple of whom teased me about it on Sunday morning.ย I did some food prep for the first time in a while that afternoon. I had nearly 10# of sweet potatoes from Sam’s to use and 3 giant zucchini from the farmers market. So, I made some sweet potato cubes and zucchini & sweet potato noodles to have this week for dinner. Every night.
There was a little festival in town on Saturday night, which turned in a street fair.ย The Boy does not like large crowds, dirty things, or lack of personal space….so we walked around for about 20 minutes before heading back home! Two peas in a pod sometimes.
Sunday, funday. We had planned to go to a friend’s cook-out and stop by my parents house, but when I got out of the car for church, my stomach felt so wonky. I felt really nauseous and kept burping. When we got home, I rested a bit and drank a ginger tea-turmeric latte and it helped quite a bit.
We ended the night with some zoodles, a walk, and a little blogging + client prep for me.
And today, I only have a client session, followed with some Precision training and a trial pack run for BlogFest, so I can make sure I have everything I need. Monday’s and Friday’s tend to be my lightest days, which I love!

I know I’ve used that picture before, but I just love it. It’s great Monday inspiration!
Stay tuned on Wednesday, I’ll be sharing some observations from feeding a man (child, sometimes) over the past few months. Hopefully it’ll give you a few laughs.
Until then, Make Your Monday…
