Do you want an awesome kitchen? Today, I’m sharing my must have kitchen tools for a rocking and awesome kitchen space!

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!

Okay, let’s get right into it (because it’s late Tuesday night and I’m tired and want to snuggle my hubby). Today, we are chatting my top must have kitchen tools. Now, as I’m writing I realize they are all three technically appliances, but we are going to call them tools.

If I had to recommend three pieces of kitchen equipment to people, these are my go-to’s. And these are the items I share when people ask me what they should stock in their kitchen. Now, I have come to love all three of these babies and so, it was hard for me to determine my favorite; I love them all equally…almost.

I remember the day I bought this beauty (thanks Instagram). I’d finally saved enough to purchase her and my mom had an extra 40% off coupon to Bed, Bath & Beyond. I think I waited a hot minute before I used her, but once I started, I couldn’t stop. To date, this is my most used kitchen appliance, by far.

I recommend a high speed blender (doesn’t have to be a Vitamix, although I love mine) for so many reasons. Smoothies. If you want a creamy smoothie, you need a high speed blender. Especially if you had any kind of greens like spinach or chard. If you don’t have item #2, you can use it to make hummus, soups, nut butters and more. Even though a Vitamix is an investment, it’s incredibly easy to have it pay for itself with amount of times you will use it.

I borrowed my mom’s food processor for months. She finally stopped me when she got me one for our wedding present. Hazzah! The food processor is a game changer for food prep, in my opinion. While you can certainly make soups and nut butters in the Vitamix, tossing everything in the food processor and letting it go allows you to MULTITASK! While I am chopping sweet potatoes to roast in the oven or make turkey burger patties, my food processor is whipping up some delicious raw almond butta. When I’m done, I rinse it out and add the now roasted sweet potatoes, along with some broth, spices and coconut milk to make a tasty sweet potato soup. I’m telling you, if you want a seamless food prep day (that’s coming next week! Stay tuned!), get a food processor.

A girl with food sensitivities best friend. When was doing my elimination diet and not eating any gluten/dairy/soy at allis when I first found out about spiralizers. Then my mom gave me one for Christmas (man, she has really played a role in helping me get my must have kitchen tools – thanks mama!). And my life changed. Not even exaggerating.

The spiralizer has climbed the ranks in become my third most used kitchen tool. Another food prep day must have. Spiralize sweet potatoes, butternut squash, zucchini, beets and more. Usually each food prep day, I’ll spiralize a huge batch of zucchini or sweet potato noodles, add to a big ziplock bag and use throughout the week. Love all things sweet potato, like me? Use the spiralizer to make shoestring fries or thin sliced ‘chips’ for sweet potato nachos. Skies the limit with the spiralizer.

Ya’ll, another busy day today. We are leaving for Texas for the weekend on Friday, so today and tomorrow are crazy. Packing, laundry, work stuff, blog stuff, all the stuff! It’s all good though because I get a mini vacation in Texas. And WARM WEATHER! We have so much snow today…and by so much I mean about 2 – 4 inches. But that’s 2 – 4 inches more than I want.
