The Ultimate Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Pancakes & Giveaway
I was given the opportunity to review Amazing Grass Protein Superfood Powder through my partnership with Fit Approach. I received the product, compensation and discount code in exchange for an honest review. As always, all opinions are my own!
In college, I was a boss at making pancakes. The little bit of love I added to each batch is pancakes made with a mix that starts with Bis and ends with Quik apparently made all the difference, because I’d have people over for pancakes when I came home on weekends.New Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Pancake #Recipe! #feelamazingeveryday #Sweatpink @amazinggrass Click To Tweet
However, protein pancakes are a different story. Every attempt at a batch resulted in non-fluffy, dense pancakes. No bueno. Really, most attempts at gluten + dairy free pancakes never seemed to work out for me. But, when I got the contain of Superfood Protein Powder from Amazing Grass, I wanted to do something different. Obviously, I love smoothies and make quite a few on the blog. I also just shared a protein bar recipe. Having LOVED Kat’s vegan pancake recipe, I decided I’d try my hand a a protein pancake.
I prepared myself for multiple attempts. I measured out each ingredient, something I tend to guestimate. You know what happened?! My batch of chocolate peanut butter protein pancakes was PERFECT. On the FIRST TRY! Say what?! Obviously, I was pumped. I’m working on trying to be a better food blogger and to not have to make multiple recipes is a dream. Not likely to happen again for a long time, right?!Perfect pancakes on the first try! Get the recipe #ontheblog! #FeelAmazingEveryDay @fitapproach… Click To Tweet
I think letting the milk and acv sit for a few minutes really helped to lighten things up, along with sifting the dry ingredients! Plus, cooking on lower heat. When I make cakes, I want to EAT THE CAKES, so I don’t often do the lower/slower cook time that is needed. Back in college, I was all about fixing the temperature to get the fluffiest pancakes I could.
Now, I may or may not have eaten 4 for breakfast…and then 2 more post photo shoot. What’s the deal with shooting food photo: do you eat the meal after? Save it? I’m learning all the things by doing more recipes!

Let’s talk about this superfood protein powder, shall we?! I’ve been a fan of Amazing Grass for a long time now (1, 2). Their greens are one of my favorite brands and a brand I ALWAYS recommend to my client. I was super excited to see that they came out with a superfood blend, that included greens. Ya’ll know how I LOVE my greens and protein powders that have a few servings of veggies.
Amazing Grass Protein SuperFood contains a unique blend of USDA Organic pea, hemp, chia and quinoa, delivering 20g of complete plant-based protein per serving plus 7 alkalizing organic greens and two-full servings of wholesome fruits and vegetables. Each flavor is also grain-free, paleo friendly, and can be enjoyed alone with water, added to a smoothie or almond, cashew or coconut milk. The line’s unique pea protein is the only available source that is 100 percent grown, harvested and processed in the USA, providing one of the smoothest, best tasting plant-based proteins on the market.
Not going to lie to you, this protein powder is gooooooood. It’s one that I can drink pretty easily with water. It also has a strong peanut butter taste and doesn’t have that ‘grassy – gritty -dirt like’ taste that you can get from other plant based protein powders. It makes a delicious smoothie mixed with homemade almond milk, frozen banana and hemp/chia seeds. And it clearly makes a delicious batch of Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Pancakes.
If you aren’t a fan of chocolate and peanut butter, don’t worry. They have Original and Pure Vanilla Flavor. I know you want to get your hands on a container and you get two options:

I had every intention of announcing Sarah yesterday, but by the time I got home Tuesday night, I was beat! I went to bed at 9pm. This is the first week of my full time job AND training clients. Tuesday and today, I’m up at 5:30am to get ready for work, train a client and then get there by 8am. Wednesday and Friday, I’m at the gym AT 5:20am to train and work before going into the office at 8am. Wednesday…I had 4 cups of coffee. It was not smart, I know, but I needed something! I forced myself to finish this post and get stuff ready for work before crashing! Luckily, my super early mornings stop next week and I’m down to 3 days of waking up at 5:30am. I’ve been a little behind on alllll the things, clearly, but I’m hoping to catch up this weekend!
The best part of the week, though, was enjoying a chocolate peanut butter protein smoothie nearly every morning and having a scoop in my overnight oats on Tuesday! New current favorite!
