Stitch Fix Review & Friday Favorites #10
Happy Friday (& 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND!). This afternoon The Hubs and I are headed to a hotel for the weekend in downtown Indy. More details at the end.
It’s time for another Friday Favorite’s! It’s been a couple months since I shared what I’m loving lately and I have a few things to share, so let’s get started.
My Stitch Fix Review
So, I finally tried Stitch Fix. Have you? So many bloggers have tried this service and love it. I’d been wanting to try it for some time, but when I was doing the #girlboss thing full time, I didn’t really have a need for getting a bunch of ‘real clothes’ all the time, let alone a real bra! But now that I’m in an office 5 days a week, I decided it was high time to place an order.

I read a ton of reviews online, searched for tips for getting the best fix AND spent time creating my own Stitch Fix Pinterest Board. I was PUMPED when the fix arrived and I received a pair of cobalt blue flats and a pair of jeans – both things I requested! And, for some reason, The Hubs was more than willing to take my pictures as soon as tore open the box!So, I got the photos done – check. But somehow, I misplaced my receipt AND style card, which means I don’t have any information to give you about the designer, in case you like a piece and what to order! Blast!
I liked the idea of this navy polka dot shirt, because navy + polka dots. It didn’t look too bad on, but with summer coming, it didn’t seem too practical. I felt like I had to wear it layered because I didn’t love it on it’s own.
These jeans. I wrestled with whether or not to keep these. The price tag was higher at $168 and they were a little too tight to wear to work. That left weekend. And remember, it’s summer. I couldn’t justify keeping them, even though my butt would NOT quit!
I loved the lace and color of this shirt. Like quite a few tanks, it was a little tight in the arm/shoulder area, thanks muscles, and super flowy everywhere else. Again, I felt like it had to be layered in order to cut back on some of the flowiness and I ain’t got time for that in the summer.
Apparently, I pinned this dress, although I don’t recall. It was SUPER soft, but totally didn’t fit right. Fun to twirl in though!
These shoes! Look at that color! I’ve been wanting cobalt shoes since FOREVER! My stylist got the color and I loved that they were a little more casual, like an sophisticated pair of Tom’s. I just got a pair of wedges from the same designer and I am officially a fan. As much as I loved them, they were a tad bit too small.
Overall, I am fan of Stitch Fix. The items in my Fix were good, just not so perfect I felt like I could keep them. I took some other tips and left detailed feedback for my next Fix, which is coming on June 12th! I’ll be sure to get a better graphics AND the names of all the items!
PRETTY HAPPY by Kate Hudson
Since I have some extra free time on my hands, I’ve been reading real books…and LOVING IT! My current favorite is Pretty Happy. I’m such a huge fan of Kate Hudson and her approach to wellness. She focused on nutrition, exercise, mindfulness and body love. Throughout each chapter, she has you write on your ‘drawing board’, aka, a journal. There are simple questions, quizzes and tasks to jot down. It’s really a cool idea. The book is full of energy and relatable stories. Over the past few months, I’ve been kind of blah with eating healthy and exercising. This book is really inspiring and has renewed my passion for wellness!

Can’t Stop The Feeling by Justin Timberlake
To say I’m obsessed with this song would be an understatement. It’s seriously such a legit song. I only wish it was out when we got married because it would have been on repeat on the dance floor. Lately, if I need a little pick-me-up at work or something, I’ll play this song. The wanna-be dancer in me in doing all kinds of dance moves in my head. I like the official video – JT did a decent job with the choreography. I also think this song would be so good for a flash mob, amiright?
Another company I had been hearing about for months before finally decided to try them out. They have a huge selection of health foods at discounted prices. It’s been my go-to place for snacks, like jerky, superfood greens, matcha and more. They do tend to send emails every single day, sometimes multiple times. But, I will say, there is usually a daily discount or free item and they share recipes/wellness tips frequently. PLUS, with every membership purchased, a membership goes to a family in need. They have a really cool giving program. Basically, they are an awesome company and you should try them out!
p.s. this post contains affiliate links. I do receive something back for some of the products listed, as a way to help make this blog better. I would still be sharing these products and services EVEN IF I did not receive anything because I truly believe in the quality of what I’m sharing. As a healthy living blogger, my goal is to bring you amazing products and services that help fuel a healthy lifestyle!
So, anniversary weekend. On Monday, it will be 1 Year since our wedding! Say what?! Since we are going on a cruise in a few weeks, we opted for a weekend in downtown Indy. We live about 35-45 minutes away, so it’ll be a fun little stay-cation. I found a burger place I want to try and I want to get a tasty brunch…and a piece of chocolate cake. Other than that, we don’t have anything planned! Can’t wait!
So, tell me:
Have you ever tried Stitch Fix? Thoughts?
What are your weekend plans?
