WHY MINDSET2MUSCLES?

Because I honestly found a huge gap in a lot of the online programs I did – my own and one’s I purchased from other trainers – was the mindset component. Programs can be laid out perfectly, but if ladies don’t shift their mindset, goals might not be reached. When I found myself continuously pulling the same weight on my deadlift after MANY MONTHS and my husband strongly urging me to lift more, I realized my mindset was holding me back. By ditching my negative mindset and believing that I could reach my goals, a funny thing happened – I started moving more weight on the bar, feeling more confident and actually reached my goals!

WHAT MAKES MINDSET2MUSCLES SO GREAT?

  • It helps you work smarter in the gym. All Mindset2Muscles workouts are under 1 hour, some a short as 30 minutes. These workouts help you make the most of your time in the gym, so you can fit your workouts into your life, not the other way around.
  • It builds strength. A lot of ladies tend to stay close to the cardio machines at the gym. While this gets their body moving, they don’t often see the results they want. For ladies that do venture out to the lifting floor, they often use 5# weights. It’s going to take a lot of repetitions and a lot of time to see results from 5# weights. By swapping weights for the machines, women can decrease the risk of heart disease, lower blood pressure, improve cholesterol AND bone density, while adding lean muscle mass, leading to greater fat loss!
  • It has you lifting real weight. For ladies that do venture out to the lifting floor, they often use very light weights, hoping that with enough reps, they will see results. The truth is, it will take a lot of time and repetitions to see positive body composition changes using light weights. Moving heavier loads promotes muscle growth and strength in less time.
  • It focuses on fueling your body in a sustainable way. How many diets are out there? Too many. While some work for a time, most are not sustainable in the long term. What if there was a way to lose fat, build muscle, increase your energy levels and just feel all around great? The answer is eating real food! This program talks about the importance of eating real food, how nutrient timing can play a role in body composition changes, and helps ladies develop a healthy relationship with food without feeling deprived.
  • It provides community. Having support, encouragement and accountability can be a game changer when it comes to reaching goals and staying on track. Through private Facebook groups, YOU have the opportunity to connect with other women doing the same program as you with similar goals.
  • It emphasizes the importance of mindset. How many times has your Inner Mean Girl fed you some lie about how you will never reach your goal? Maybe she has you believing you will never see positive body changes? Or maybe your limiting beliefs hold you back from being your best self. Each day, we take a couple minutes to focus in on what may be holding us back and create positive action plans to make shit happen.

That last point is KEY! This program is different from other programs in that we bring in the mindset component to assist in reaching goals and creating positive body change – fat loss and muscle growth. The journaling component will take no more than 5 minutes of your day and helps pave the way for huge change!

WHY DO YOU NEED MINDSET2MUSCLES IN YOUR LIFE?

Well, it’s an awesome program, of course! You knew that was coming, right? You need Mindset2Muscles if you are ready to level up, start seeing results and making things happen in the gym. This program is for you if you want to see muscle definition or want that ‘toned’ look (in time for summer!). If you are sick of spending time on the elliptical or dreadmill day in and day out at the gym because you feel out of place or like you’ll look silly if you start moving weights.

Abbie was part of the beta program. She didn’t lift, felt out of place and out of shape in the weight section at the gym and didn’t think it was possible for her to build upper body muscle. She CRUSHED it in the beta program and if you take a peek at her review of the program, you’ll see girl gained some gunnnnss!

Curious how this program has helped other women? Check out testimonials on the Mindset2Muscles page.

Mindset2Muscles | Burpees for Breakfast

The week was busy and so was the weekend! I arrived at my parents house about an hour before 2 of the 3 Thugs. We went out for Mexican, chatted about Beauty & the Beast and Diva Cups, and watched a sappy Hallmark movie with Candace Cameron Bure. Saturday we met the 3rd Thug at Cafe Patachou, THE BEST BRUNCH spot around. I got my usual and ate both pieces of sourdough bread! So good! Lots of coffee and chats. We stopped by Nordstrom Rack and J. Crew Mercantile. My first real introduction into fashion was through J. Crew clothes. I’ve been in love for years, but my bank account doesn’t always approve of purchases. With the sales they had, button down shirts were only $25, for example. I wanted everything! I ended up not buying anything, but plan to head there in a couple weeks for a spring refresh!

After shopping, we went to see Beauty and the Beast. It was even better the second time! I love it so much! We had an early dinner at a new brewery in town, which was so tasty. Lots of wine, The Intern and the first season of New Girl is how we ended the night. Sunday, I got up early to do little work. We grabbed coffee at the very first coffee shop I worked at in high school, we had great chats and then I headed off to class. After class, I took some workout photos, came home to my two favorite boys, did some work, ate lots of sushi, watched Parks & Rec and ended the night with Passengers.

It was a FULL weekend, but so great. I’ve got another big week ahead with the Mindset2Muscles launch!

SO, TELL ME:

What are your favorite recipes? Anything new I should try?
What did you do this weekend?!

XOXO,
JEN
