Nourish yourself this month by starting a self-care routine – or add a new activity to your current one. • Since we are talking 10 Ways to Nourish Your Body in 31 Minutes or Less this month, here are 3 self-care activities that you can do in under 31 minutes that will leave you feeling refreshed and recharged. 1️⃣ Go on an early morning or late evening walk around your neighborhood 2️⃣ Take a bubble bath with candles and essential oils 3️⃣ Snuggle up with a blanket, a good book and a good cup of coffee (or tea!) We often let stress take over, which can be so damaging. . This month, I'm teaming up with some amazing women bloggers to bring you 10 Ways to Nourish in 31 Minutes! This month is all about taking the time to nourish ourselves amidst the busyness and stress of everyday life. . {#WellnessWednesday} With the holidays ahead, you’re likely going to have travel plans. So remember the important message the flight attendant gives you: "Put on your own oxygen mask before assisting others.” • It seems obvious that you need oxygen so you can help others, but we often forget to practice self care when life gets busy. Self care can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be! How do you make it happen? • Take 10 minutes right now (yes, take a moment to put down your phone), and write down 10 of your favorite self care activities. They don’t have to be extravagant; something as simple as buying yourself flowers or scheduling an afternoon friend-date to drink tea (or coffee) & eat chocolate. Then pull out your calendar and schedule one per week for the next 10 weeks. Or schedule the same one for 10 weeks in a row. • There’s no hard and fast rule for how to practice self care. It doesn’t matter what you do, it matters that you are taking time for yourself at least once per week, especially when life gets busy! Fall is my favorite time to make soups and stews, they are easy to make, are hearty enough for those chilly nights and make the best leftovers! . One way to nourish your body is by exiting the dieting cycle and practicing something different. I hate diets. They really suck. Instead of dieting and restricting what you eat, try to eat mindfully. When you allow yourself to eat anything (yes, actually anything) and really focus on how you're feeling & your experiences while eating you're able to enjoy the flavors and sensations of eating which in turn helps you feel satisfied with what you're eating. . How was your weekend?! I spent a good portion of it on the couch watching Gilmore Girls and Stranger Things. Whole30 got my energy DOWN! I taught my bootcamp class on Saturday and did all the food prep! Sunday we went shopping and ran a few errands. We are slowly making our way through Stranger Things (it’s the Hubs’ fault we aren’t through it yet!) and started The Mist – which isn’t too bad.
