THERE WILL BE SOME PEOPLE THAT FEEL THREATENED BY STRONG WOMEN. THAT’S THEIR PROBLEM, NOT MINE. – Gloria Allred
Are you ready to GET STRONG, BE CONFIDENT and FEEL AWESOME? Are you ready to invest in YOURSELF and become your MOST AWESOME self?
What can I do instead of the elliptical or treadmill when I’m at the gym? Without a class, I’m just not sure how to navigate the gym – I don’t know what to do? Will lifting weights really help me lost weight?
Have you ever asked any of these questions? These are some of the very things I hear from ladies in my classes.
I didn’t see the importance of strength training until my now husband challenged me to lift heavy things at the gym for 2 months. Being a ‘cardio bunny’ that thrived on high intensity interval training, I wasn’t convinced that this ‘strength training’ stuff he talked about was for me.
Because I love a challenge and I’m very competitive, I decided to try it out. I’ll be honest, the first week was a bit rough. The second week, I combined my lifting with some short HIIT circuits to satisfy my need for cardio.
To my surprise, by the 3rd and 4th week, I began to love lifting heavy things. And by the 4th and 5th week, I was lifting heavier things than when I began. I started to see muscles form in places they hadn’t been before. I was getting stronger. And I felt awesome.
The biggest take away from those 2 months was the significant increase in my confidence. Being able to squat 155# for reps when you only felt comfortable with bodyweight is HUGE. It felt amazing and I was able to lift and push more than some of the boys at the gym.
I’m passionate about ladies owning their body’s, gaining strength, being confident, feeling awesome and UNSTOPPABLE. This is why I am beyond excited to announce a brand new 4 week online fitness challenge. STRONG. CONFIDENT. AWESOME.
Being able to lift, swing and push heavy things is such a privilege. And being able to inspire and encourage other women to do the same makes my heart sing!
I’m encouraging you to COMMIT to a 4 week online training program and challenge. In that time, my goal is to help you GET STRONG, BE more CONFIDENT and FEEL AWESOME. And have you see how beneficial (and fun) strength training can be.
The great part about this program is that it’s adaptable for ladies that workout at-home and the gym. There will be dumbbell and barbell options. If you workout at your home, you will need to invest in a couple different size dumbbells. If you want to progress and gain strength, you must increase that weight.
A unique part of this challenge is the option to win a weekly prize. Regular participation in the daily Facebook thread and challenges is required to be eligible for prizes, which will include some of my favorite workout gear and things every Fit Girl needs. Plus, there will be a final challenge prize at the end and it’ll be a good one!

BUT, Jen, I don’t want to be bulky or look like a man.
Girl, I get it. You want the look of being ‘toned’, strong and capable, but not like you could rip a phone book in half. I’m with you.
Here’s a few secrets:
- Bulky means different things to different people. If you desire a ‘toned’ or sculpted muscular look, strength training will help you get that look.
- In order to look like a man or a bodybuilder, you must be incredibly strict with your meal intake, counting calories, cutting out certain foods, and more.
- You also have to supplement. ALOT.
- Strength training aids in fat loss – in a more sustainable way that doing endless amounts of cardio.
- Plus, in 4 weeks, it’s very unlikely that you will bulk up in any significant way.
Then why 4 weeks, you ask?
I want to give you a taste of what strength training can do for your body and your confidence. It takes about 4 weeks for us to notice changes in our body. It took me about 4 weeks to decide that this strength training thing might not be so bad. And it’s part of the challenge.
